A crazy little thing called love.
From the bitter to the sweet.
For many of us, 2025 got off to a bit of a rough start. From devastating wildfires, to personal struggles closer to home, it wasn’t exactly the “slow” or hygge start to the year that I typically have in mind. So as February comes around, I am leaning in and looking forward to celebrating love in all its forms, no matter how cheesy that might be.
Of course, showing our loved ones how much we care should be an ongoing practice—not sequestered to a specific date on the calendar. But especially during these dimmer, colder months of the year, sometimes it feels incredible to make a grand gesture, to surprise and delight someone else simply because you can.
At the cottage, you can rest assured that we’re planning our Valentine’s Day celebrations with all your most important relationships in mind—from gal pals, to romantic partners, to some well-deserved self-care. You can expect plenty of edible flower petals, berry jams, pink-frosted pastries and even a few heart-shaped additions to our selection of treats, as well as many handcrafted gift ideas that last beyond a few bites. Read on for a few of our featured holiday collaborations—and we can’t wait to treat you all to a little extra TLC this month!
Valentine’s Day at Süti & Co.
Say it with Flowers
Our dear friend Olivia Rowland has been our go-to-gal for whimsical, unstructured florals for some time, and we’re delighted to feature a selection of her custom bouquets for purchase. A selection of her work will be available at the cottage for $25 or $50 on Valentine’s Day.
Bon Bon Beauties
When choosing product partners, I always begin by seeking small, like-minded producers. So when I discovered Parré Chocolates, I was immediately impressed by their commitment to ethical sourcing and the purity of their products, which don’t contain any preservatives or other chemicals. These luxurious 9-piece bonbon sets look and taste incredibly special, and you can feel good knowing that you’ve invested in the highest quality cacao, harvested by happy farmers.
Love Letters
These limited-edition “Billet Doux” candles from our friend Dani at Lemuria are a sensual delight. Their scent is evocative of black ink and perfume-spritzed parchment, with added notes of mahogany writing desk, dark chocolate and a fresh magnolia bouquet. If that description alone doesn’t intrigue you, I’m not sure what will!
Sugar & Spice
Finally, we’ll be featuring a selection of handmade letterpress cards and notepads from our dear friend Nanci at Small Colorful Things. Her bright and cheerful designs add a touch of whimsy to any gift, and we’re excited to feature a few of her special holiday designs at our shop.
